for this you will need a heavy pot with a lid that can be in the oven. and you need one day's notice!
buy some pork ribs from the local butcher. these should be very cheap! remember the size of your pot, don't over purchase because they are cheap, they need to fit in. You also need
1 cup bbq sauce
8 units of star anise (or powder)
bunch of coriander
When you get back to your shared house or other a-typical student accom:
Cut the leaves in one chop from the bunch or coriander. So you have all the stems and roots, and all the leaves seprate. Clean the coriander stems under running cold water and remove any dirt. blitz the 3 ingredients above in a blender, minus the leaves (keep them aside) rub that marinade on the ribs and put them in the pot with the lid on, overnight in the fridge.
The next day, a few hours before you want to eat, put the pot in the oven (180 degrees) and leave there for at least three hours.
